Alcaraz simply makes too many unforced errors in the tie-break, and Djokovic is cool as a cucumber - despite the amount of noise emanating from the crowd - as he reaches seven points to win 7-6(3) 7-6(2)!

The Serbian turns to his family with his hands raised, a look of shock on his face as he roars in victory. He has been unbelieavable throughout the tournament, failing to drop a single set.

He now joins an elusive club that contains Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf as the only players to have won all four Grand Slams and an Olympic gold medal.

Swimming: Sarah Sjöström (SWE) wins women's 50m freestyle gold

Just four finals and no semi-finals in the pool tonight for the last night of swimming action at theParis La Défense Arena.

Thewomen's 50m freestyle gets us underway. Sweden'sSarah Sjöström, who has already won 100m free gold, was the fastest qualifier.Gretchen Walsh (USA) is next to her in lane five.

Badminton: Defending champs Lee/Wang (TPE) win gold again

What a story this is in badminton. After winning gold at Tokyo 2020, Chinese Taipei'sLee Yang and Wang Chi-lin struggled with injury and health issues.

But they've come all the way back to the top of their game and today retained their Olympic title in a narrow three-game victory over the top seedsLiang Weikeng and Wang Chang of People's Republic of China, 21-17, 18-21, 21-19.

Congrats to them!

Malaysia'sAaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, the 2022 world champions, won bronze earlier.

Road cycling: Faulkner (USA) wins women's road race gold

They're not going to catch Kristen Faulkner! She is riding away to gold as she heads under the 1km to go banner!

The three women behind her are making each other in a bid for silver and bronze.

But Faulkner will take the final turn at the Trocadéro, cross the Seine, andwin gold for Team USA!

She just keeps riding, soaring past the finish line, wary of being caught.

The final group get a huge cheer as they walk up to the 18th green.

Fleetwood can't sink the chip so it will not be gold for him. Scheffler gets the news and has a wide grin on his face.

Rahm misses his long putt for bronze, then misses his par putt to end up with six dropped shots on the back nine. That's what ended his medal hopes. The Spaniard looks devastated.

So the Brit Fleetwood has a short putt to guarantee silver. Miss this, and he faces a playoff…

He sinks it! A smile on his face, it's not quite gold, but it is an Olympic medal.

Golf: Scheffler leads in clubhouse as leaders nearing finish

What a grandstand finish to themen's golf competition! And it's all change at the top of the leaderboard.

The leader after each of the first three rounds,Xander Schauffele, has had a shocker, sitting at two-over for the day and out of contention.

Instead, world number oneScottie Scheffler leads in the clubhouse on 19-under after a stunning nine-under 62.

Tommy Fleetwood (GBR) is one shot back and on the 18th and final hole.

Artistic gymnastics: Carlos Yulo wins vault for second gold

You wait so long for a gold medal, then two come along at once.

A day after becoming the first Filipino man to win an Olympic gold,Carlos Yulo has done it again, this time clinching themen's vault gold medal, averaging 15.116.

Artur Davtyan of Armenia, the Tokyo 2020 silver medallist, moves a step up on the podium to silver on 14.966.

And Great Britain'sHarry Hepworth, just 20 years old in his first Olympic Games, wins bronze on 14.949.

Road cycling: 10 riders in favourites group lead the race

Big changes in the state of thewomen's road race with a group of 10 riders now up the road and clear of the peloton by about half a minute.

This group includes the favourites – Lotte Kopecky (BEL) has just joined Marianne Vos (NED), Elisa Longo Borghini (ITA), Lizzie Deignan and Anna Henderson (GBR), while behind them attacks are coming from the group.

Shooting: Francisca Crovetto Chadid (CHI) wins skeet women's gold

Another high quality final comes down to a shoot-off between Chadid and Amber Rutter (GBR), with the Chilean holding her nerve to hit both targets after Rutter was adjuged to have missed one of her two clays.

With the win, Chadid becomes the first Chilean woman to win Olympic gold in any sport, while Rutter wins Great Britain its first medal in women's shooting at the Games.

What a moment we've just had in the women's 75kg quarter-final!

Ngamba has reached the last four of the event in her weight class, meaning she's guranteed a medal - the first-ever for the Refugee Olympic Team!

Road cycling: Leaders hold 3:20 lead to peloton

We're just a little past halfway in thewomen's road race now.

There is a breakaway of six women with around a 3:20 lead to the peloton with 70km remaining.

Gymnastics: Kaylia Nemour (ALG) wins uneven bars gold!

This is special. After the gauntlet was thrown down by 2023 world champion Qiu Qiyuan (CHN) - who had a sublime routine that scored 15.500, Nemour goes one better and proves why she hasnine of the top 10 world scores in this appartus over the past year.

The 17-year-old is absolutely flawless throughout and nails the landing to huge roars from the crowd, receiving an outrageous 15.700 to win gold!

She makes history too: it's the first gymnastics medal for an athlete representing an African NOC in Olympic history!

It's a well-deserved silver for Qiu, while Sunisa Lee (USA) adds another Paris 2024 medal to her collection with bronze.

Tennis: Djokovic (SRB) wins first set tie-break

Nothing to seperate the two men at the end of the first set, so we head to a tie-break where Djokovic shows why he is such a legend of the sport.

The 37-year-old is imperious as he wins the tie-break 7-3 to take the first set.

Gymnastics: Liu Yang (CHN) wins rings gold!

Spectacular from Liu, and the crowd agrees!

He has one of the toughest routines of the competition, but with big risks come big rewards, and he nails every element to score a whopping 15.300!

With the win, Liu becomes the first athlete since 1972 to win two Olympic titles in a row in this event.

Silver goes to Zou Jingyuan (CHN), who had the same difficuilty score as Liu (6.400) but a less clean routine. 2016 Olympic champion and Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Eleftherios Petrounias (GRE) earns another bronze.

Table tennis: Fan Zhendong wins gold, beating Truls Möregårdh 4-1

Well, Möregårdh hasn't been in the fifth game at all.

One incredible point from under the table by the Swede aside, Fan Zhendong has dominated in this game.

The Chinese star brings up seven gold medal points. Möregårdh saves one. Then two, then three, and four. He couldn't, surely?

A fifth! This is what Möregårdh has been looking for in this fifth game and it's coming now! From 3-10 down, he's clawed it back to 8-10.

On his sixth gold medal point,Fan Zhendong sends down a brilliant backhand winner down the line to become the Olympic champion!

Archery: Kim wins men's individual gold...by three millimetres!

I don't think you'll ever see a more thrilling archery final.

After Ellison took a 4-2 set point lead, Kim evened the contest to set up a fifth set - and this is when the magic happened.

Both men hitthree straight 10s to force a shoot-off to the absolute delirium of the crowd.

In the shoot-off, each archer has one arrow - the closest to the centre of the target wins.

Kim shoots first, and hits a 10 but it was slightly out from the centre. Ellison steps up andalsohits a 10...but it's just three millimetres further out then Kim's meaning the Korean wins gold!

It's his third gold medal of Paris 2024 - and he becomes the first archer to win five gold medals at the Games!

It's silver for Ellison, who came so close to finally getting gold after winning two bronze and another two silver in his career.

Table tennis: Fan edges ahead in final

This is a high-quality gold medal match. From 3-3 in the third, Fan rolls off four straight points before Möregårdh responds with five of his own.

After they exchange the next few points with the Swede saving a game point, Fan converts to take the third 11-9.

Table tennis: Möregårdh testing Fan in men's final

Fan Zhendong is not having this table tennis men's singles final his own way at all.

This match againstTruls Möregårdh of Sweden is a 2021 World Championships final rematch, and Möregårdh knows exactly how to play Fan.

Despite having had a few inconsistent seasons which has dropped him out of the world's top 10, the Swede takes the opening game 11-7 against favourite Fan before only narrowly dropping the second 9-11.

1-1 in games and 3-3 in the third.

Archery: Kim Woojin (KOR) takes on Brady Ellison (USA) after Lee Wooseok (KOR) wins bronze

The men's individual gold medal match is underway, and it's Ellison who takes the first set points against Kim!

Kim already has two golds from Paris 2024 in the men's and mixed team competition, but he trails early to Ellison, himself a bronze medal winner in the same mixed team event.

Earlier, Kim's compatriot Lee won bronze 6-0 against Florian Unruh (GER).

Golf: Rahm (ESP) moves into the lead

Are we about to have a Super Sunday for Spain?

Over at Le Golf National, Rahm has moved into the solo lead in the men's individual competition after sinking a birdie putt on the sixth green.

Meanwhile at Roland Garros, Alcaraz has a chance to break Djokovic's serve in the third game at 0-30 up, but the Serbian displays all of his veteran experience to calmly come back and hold.
