Gymnastics: Simone Biles (USA) wins women's vault gold!
It's another gold for Biles - her third of Paris 2024 and seventh of her career!
Those two vaults she executed to near perfection were the difference, and despite two very good attempts from her teammate Jade Carey, no athlete is able to better Biles' 15.300, which means Biles is the Olympic champion!
The crowd goes nuts as Biles celebrates, and there are equally loud cheers for Andrade in second, who ties ties sailors Torben Grael and Robert Scheidt as the most decorated Brazilian Olympians ever with five medals.
🥇Simone Biles: 15.300
🥈Rebeca Andrade: 14.966

Judo: France win mixed team gold
There's celebration for the hosts at the Champ-de-Mars Arena as the judo programme at Paris 2024 comes to a close, as France narrowly defend their Tokyo 2020 mixed team title!
Teddy Riner,Joan-Benjamin Gaba, andClarisse Agbégnénou won their bouts for France, while wins by Murao Sanshiro,Takayama Rina,Tsunoda Natsumi scored for Japan.
It means that France, having been 3-1 down, have a single golden-score contest for gold.
And the random spin has landed on men's +90kg! It'sTeddy Riner up for France againstSaito Tatsuru!
"Teddy, Teddy" is the chant as we enter the fifth minute of this golden score match.
Saito picks up a shido warning, and a second, for non-combativity. One more and France win.
La Marseillaise from the crowd. Saito tries, and tries again, to get Riner, who holds him off.
Riner also picks up two shidos. The next warning or point will end this match.
Teddy Riner gets the ippon! The Champ-de-Mars Arena erupts! So does the Stade de France! France have won gold! His teammates run to embrace him. Saito is devastated.
Bronzes went to Brazil and Republic of Korea, who each required a golden score sudden-death match to win 4-3 against Italy and Germany respectively.

Gymnastics: RhysMcClenaghan (IRL) wins pommel horse gold!
The two-time defending champion is now an Olympic champion!
McClenaghan stepped up to the apparatus with plenty of confidence, and moved like it to throughout his routine to great encouragement from plenty of Irish fans in the crowd at the Bercy Arena.
But as he executes a flawless dismount, the entire arena is applauding what they see -and the judges respond in kind with a score of 15.533!
It's good enough for gold - what a moment! Silver goes to Nariman Kurbanov (KAZ) and bronze for Stephen Nedoroscik (USA), with the latter now sporting the USA flag as a cape like a superhero as he celebrates in front of the crowd. That's an image that will live on for a while!
Max Whitlock, the two-time defending Olympic champion in this event, finishes fourth.

Here we go - the Tokyo 2020 champion is up!
She pulls off a round off, half-turn, one-and-a-half turn and absolutely sticks the landing to massive roars from the crowd inside Bercy Arena.
A big score! 15.100. Let's see if she can knock Biles out of top spot with her second vault.
No.
A slight hop on her landing - combined with a lower difficuilty than what Biles had - scores her 14.833 for her second attempt, giving her an average of 14.966. She moves into the silver medal position.
Biles congratulates her competitor immediately after the second vault - great sportsmanship between these two stars.

Gymnastics: Simone Biles delivers stunning vaults to take the lead
It's time for Biles' two vault attempts.
There's an excitable energy in the crowd as she thunders down the runway on her first attempt - the Biles II. Biles launches herself high into the air and lands almost perfectly, scoring 15.7!
The crowd erupts, but there's still one more attempt to come (the average of the two vaults is what counts).
Here comes the second vault (the Cheng)...she lands it, but its not quite as stunning as that first attempt, but it won't matter as she scores 14.9, taking her average to 15.3 and the gold medal position!
The crowd goes bananas, and rightly so. That was stunning.
